I love speaking in front of audiences!

I really do. My newest speech is all about – you guessed it – how to embrace your inner Resiliency Ninja! For over 10 years, I’ve been speaking to audiences about how to develop business (you know, important stuff like sales, networking and marketing), and I still do that too. In today’s market, there is a collision between who we are personally and how we show up professionally. You need to hone your skills on both the life and business side to truly be successful!

If you’re looking for a conference speaker, I can make your audience laugh and cry, and most importantly, give some easy-to-use tools to be more resilient in their work and life. I’ll say out loud the conversation others keep in their head, tackling topics like stress, obstacles and adversity, finding a new path after unwanted change, overcoming self-doubt and sharing the power of forgiveness.

If your audience needs to build business and reach more clients, well, I have a program for that too!

Your challenges don’t have to define your success. Like a Resiliency Ninja you can rise better, stronger and more successful than you ever imagined, no matter what obstacles you face!

This book is your road map to deal with unwanted change, overcome obstacles and heal from adversity >>

This book is changing lives! I know this because people, just like you, keep sending me notes about what resonated for them and how they are applying my ideas. Buy it through your fave book store. If you don’t laugh / relate, tell me and I’ll send you my biz book, which is really serious. 🙂

Here's how I became an expert on everyday resilience.

My decade of hell inspired this. It sucked! Seriously, random shit went sideways – a lot. (You can read more of my story below.) Even so, I created a successful company.

That doesn’t mean you need to go through hell to relate and benefit from the Resiliency Ninja frameworks I’ve created. Everyday we are tasked with being resilient.

Unwanted change, useless drama, physical pain, disruptive co-workers, broken hearts. All of it requires resilience and without mastering the skill, your problems will define you. I created the Resiliency Ninja formula because the canned, cookie cutter cliches that well-meaning people dish out as advice didn’t work for me. If you find yourself needing to be resilient, it won’t work for you either.

No matter what’s happening in your life, with the right tools, you can still succeed professionally, like a Resiliency Ninja!

Hi! This is me <<< (Allison Graham). You may recognize the stance from the Resiliency Ninja logo.

I started Elevate Biz in 2006. My goal was to teach people how to network to find new clients. That work was a big hit with clients and I ended up working with some amazing brands. At that point, my plan was to build my speaking, training and consulting business, find Mr. Right, have 2.5 kids and a white picket fence…well, I have a fence, and it’s not white.

Unfortunately, my life shifted one fateful day after a surgery that went wrong and my focus became about staying in business and keeping up appearances in public, but first more about the biz.

Did I think I’d be working with the country’s top financial institutions when I created my mingling formula and my original concepts around profitable networking? Heck no, but I was great at networking (gotta practise what you preach) and found a talent that would drive my career. It turns out I’m good at seeing and teaching concepts on human behaviour and voila, my business was on the up-swing.

Thankfully, I had a natural talent for what I was doing because just months after starting my business I went in for a surgery. It should have taken a few minutes, but it turned into hours. When I woke up in the hospital the next day, my life was forever changed because of  the extreme neuropathic pain.

The pain led to a whole host of new obstacles. Hospital visits, countless doctor appointments and attempts to find the latest snake-oil-magic-cure (doesn’t exist!) followed by isolation, depression, self-judgment, financial challenges and self-doubt. Then a bunch of people I cared about died in a short period of time – that was gut-wrenching. But the challenges weren’t done. On eight occassions I suffered major injuries – like broken bones and torn ligaments. Each healed, but not without testing my resiliency skills first.

Suffice to say, it was a time in my life that really sucked. Not in a pity-party way, but in a realistic, ‘wow, I can’t believe I came out the other side of that stronger’ kind of a way.

Only my inner circle knew the extent of what was really happening and many of them only knew bits and pieces, except for my mom. She lived it all.

Mom drove me to my appointments and there were many rough nights when she tucked me into bed after I had pushed myself too hard. Can you imagine what it’s like to be a strong, independent 30-something woman who has to have your mom shut off your lights? It was a lesson in humility.

Ultimately, mom became what many would consider a significant other, my rock, the person who saw behind the mask and the person in the house each night as I went to sleep. Shortly after, I found Winston C. and he became a source of joy and love that I desperately needed.

Thus, the book Married My Mom, Birthed a Dog: How to Be Resilienct When Life Sucks!

During it all, I was able to continue serving my clients, who at the time were several of the largest financial institutions in the country, build a successful 6-figure speaking and consulting business, and be honored as a Top 20 Under 40 Economic Trailblazers. In the midst of it all, John Wiley & Sons Ltd. published a second edition of my bestselling book:

From Business Cards to Business Relationships: Personal Branding & Profitable Networking Made Easy!

When I started getting feedback on how the message was resonating and helping people, I knew – my mission, without a doubt, was to help others navigate the crap that they face in their lives that hold back their business.

My favorite mentoring clients are the ones who bring it all. Nothing is off the table. I believe every obstacle can be moved, jumped over, shredded or by-passed with the right tools.

It just takes a little FU-CHAAA!

Thus, Resiliency Ninja.
